SPACAR Light

SPACAR Light can be used for the analysis of rigid and flexible structures in terms of

  • static deflection
  • stress
  • natural frequency
  • critical buckling load

It is suited for 3-D structures that consist of 'beam-like' parts. These are parts that are relatively long (slender) and with a rectangular or circular cross-section.

This tool runs entirely in MATLAB as a script. It has no graphical user interface. All input is done via simple MATLAB commands. This makes it easy to parameterize models.

SPACAR Light offers some important benefits over other analysis software:

  • it is very fast
  • syntax is user-friendly
  • parameterized models can run within other MATLAB code (e.g. optimization programs)
